January. The coming

of a new decade. So first things first I had to take down all the Christmas decorations. Noone likes doing this. Josh told me if it's such a hassle we shouldn't put it all up next year..... He would probably like this idea quite a bit. So finally I took it all down and put it away. Then I had to reattain the will power I h

ad before the holidays when I had kept the house very clean for long periods of time. Anyone who knows me well knows I've hated cleaning since I could do it. Self mastery. So by mid January the house stayed mostly clean now as the month draws to an end I am back to my December cleaning and not detesting every moment.
Mid January Josh's brother in law and a friend came to stay with us and go snowboarding with Josh for a few days. I felt awful since it hadn't snowed in ages so the trip was mostly ice days. If there isn't powder I just don't bother going. Thankfully the last day they got a little snow to end the trip with.

The following week it snowed 7 feet in 7 days! This is also when my cousin Erik came to ride. He brought with him one of his daughter's My Little Ponies named Belle. The week quickly became Adventures with Belle. You wouldn't believe all the people wanting to take pictures with her. They say you can get chicks with a baby. Try a pony next time, low maintenance and the chicks dig it.
Aubree and I went to Solitude with the boys the first day. Aubree got stuck in the powder on the very first run of the day on a green, and from hence forth her riding name shall be Little Dollie. Little Dollie got buried in the powder 3 times that day. I laughed so hard the last time I fell backward into it myself.
Little Dollie lacks the skills to get out of powder quickly so we tried to avoid it for the most part. Josh and Erik on the other hand went looking for it with Josh's Ski/Board instructor friend Kendal. The powder was "Epic" and it was an awesome ski day.

I ride and come home ready for a nap. The boys nap and do it again the next two days. On their second day they rode with Kendal at Solitude again and Josh brought Erik to check out Brighton as well. Erik and his brother Ted came to board in Utah before and rode Park City and Canyons so Josh wanted him to see the Salt Lake resorts this trip.

We had dinner that night at my mom's with my Aunt Kaylene, Uncle Gary, and their daughter Misty's family. We had a great time and ended the night watching old family home videos in Seattle back in 1992. Erik had a mullet! My cousin Sue was in awesome shape, and I remember being skinny but not that Ethiopic skinny. You could litterally see all the bones in my arms and legs. I ate a lot too.....

So by now you would think the boys, and Belle, were tired. Not yet, last day off to Snowbird. The snow was piling up and it was waist deep on Josh! Belle met more people from all over the world. It was a fun trip but all too soon Erik was on his way home. Til next time. This will be Adventures with Belle trip #1
