Scarlett's first trip to Chuck E Cheese |
November has been an eventful month for us. Josh's dad got married on the 11th, I'm getting ready to go back to work and school, Scarlett has started teething and trying to sit up by herself, and of course Thanksgiving.
Scarlett's first trip to the Aquarium |
The next week Scarlett started drooling and blowing spit bubbles. My mom suggested she may be teething. At two months I wasn't so sure. Two weeks later she was crankier than usual and by the end of the day she would fall asleep for a 5-10 minutes and wake up cranky again. This went on all day. Her bottom gum was white in the center. A little Baby Oragel around 11:30 and she slept until 5 am. Without someone holding or sleeping with her! (She has never slept that long alone. So ready or not the teeth are on their way in. No sign of them surfacing just yet but I'll keep you posted.
Playing in the exersaucer. Love the face! |
Scarlett has also started trying very hard to sit herself up all by herself. I decided since she likes it to see if she would like sitting in the exersaucer watching the light and music toys. I took her hand and pushed the buttons and then she started pushing them herself. This is now one of her favorite playtime toys. She also got to go to Chuck E Cheese for a birthday party this month, and her very first trip to the aquarium.
Our first Thanksgiving as a family! |
Scarlett's first Thanksgiving was a bit more memorable than I had hoped for. Josh told me we had no water. I assumed he was only messing with me but found out he wasn't. The pipe where the water comes into the house had frozen and was sprayin water all overthe drive way. Josh went out to fix it and the pipe broke completely.... old houses! We went to my parents' for dinner. Mid meal Josh's younger brother calmly asked my dad to help him put out the fire on the mantle. The ceiling fan blew the long candle wick and the flame had ignited my mom's leaf garland and started a fire about a foot high. Thankfully aside from some fall decor the only damage was to the mantle that now needs a sanding and refinishing. As if the day wasn't exciting enough, Josh decided we should check out the Black Friday midnight madness at Walmart. Long story short, Josh doesn't plan to make this a habit. I tried to warn him about the crazy early shoppers!
Happy Holidays everyone! Love your guts!!
