It's June! Summer right? Not quite it has felt more like March. Josh got sick. It is raining like it's Winter in Seattle.
The most annoying and at times amusing thing has been Josh not feeling well. He turns into a giant whine with a side of grumpy when he's sick. I give him juice, he won't drink it, followed shortly by, "Where's my juice?" I give him vitamins, he doesn't need them, then asks where they are. He wants to be left alone, he needs attention, "Don't I care?" He walks in late at night fishing poles in hand, coughs, and starts to whine. I told him if he's well enough to fish I don't feel bad for him. If he's really sick he should have stayed home in bed. His reply to this was to lick me on the mouth and say, "I hope you get sick. I won't feel bad for you either!" I laughed at this. Sometimes he seems more 9 than 29. A few days later I made him lunch while he sat in bed watching TV while I cleaned the house. He wanted grilled cheese and tomato soup. When I brought it in to him he said with his blanket tucked around his chin in the whiniest voice possible, "Will you feed me?" with a sad little look at the end. At this point I realized this is turning into another situation where I cater to him too much. I still am not sure after the first few days if he really didn't feel well or was milking it out to have his own personal steward waiting on him.
I also started teaching ballet and technique classes. It's been a lot of fun. We're on week two and I am already seeing some major improvements. One of the older girls thinks I'm trying to kill them with plies and sautes. "Is this supposed to burn?" It isn't easy, you just need to get so good that it looks easy. Too funny. It's going to be a lot of fun to see them improve and become more polished over the weeks.
My car needed some major repairs. $712 in repairs. Thank goodness Josh's dad is a mechanic. I was just relieved to get my car back the same day and the shock of all the things I would rather do with $712 set in a little later. Thanks to Josh's dad it wasn't more.
Katie is in town for the summer. She's going to be working a lot but it will be fun to get to spend time with her throughout the summer. I also found out my sister is coming with her family in July Yeah!!! I have the cutest nieces and nephew in the world. Savannah and Brian are okay too I guess ;) jk I really missed her after they left. I'm really looking forward to seeing them again.
