Monsoons, Splish Splashin, Pyros, & Independence Day
We'll open this post with the end of June, aka Monsoon June. Which is when this last picture was taken. This is my balcony in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 14th. My friend Lindsay had an outdoor wedding planned, no backup location, a few days later and this is pretty much what it still looked like :( Poor, Gunn. She said she didn't care they wanted to get married. They got married and she didn't let it bother her. I don't think I would be so great a sport about it.
My sister Savannah and her family were here for the 4th which was great
. We had a couple showers in the morning but the weather had finally turned back into summer at this point. Enough so that Aubree, Juliette, Angelina, and I all had sunburns from a few days before. Aubree and Angelina never get burnt, sunscreen ladies, sunscreen. The 4th was a busy busy day. They brought the kids to the parade in Provo. I worked late the night before so I skipped an e
arly drive from Salt Lake. We all went and did family pictures at 1pm. I'll post them when we get them back don't worry! You people get so inpatient. Then found a rash guard to cover Juliette's sunburn and headed to the Scera Pool. I was so busy th
ere aren't many pics. I need to get better with that again. Apres Swim we had a festive 4th dinner. Red white and blue serving dishes and all.
So then we were off to watch the fireworks with the fam. The kids did snaps and s
parklers, and made things out of their glowsticks. Again I should have taken more pics but I was lighting sparklers. Josh came after work and met up with us.
Afterward, we headed to the park by my parent's to do fireworks in the parking lot. I made star shaped icecream sandwiches for the kids. We did m
ore sparklers. Brian and Rusty lit most of the fireworks for us. Rusty was voted most fun to watch and the craziest pyro. Jumping through the cascade of sparks. He would take the flowers and throw them in the air just in time to have them lit up and spinning in the air before they hit the ground. One made it over the fence and into the baseball field. Oops!
